Location/Division Specific Information

The Materials and Structural Analysis (MSD) Electron Microscopy (EM) business enables customers to find meaningful answers to questions that accelerate breakthrough discoveries, increase efficiency, and ultimately change the world. The MSD EM business designs, manufactures, and supports the broadest range of high-performance microscopy workflows that provide images and answers in the micro-, nano-, and picometer scales. Combining hardware and software expertise in electron, ion, and light microscopy with deep application knowledge in the materials science, life sciences, semiconductor, and natural resources markets, the worldwide Electron Microscopy employees are dedicated to customers' pursuit of discovery and resolution to global challenges.

The Role

Reporting to Senior Director, Global Commercial Performance, the Commercial Excellence Manager is responsible for driving commercial and business excellence by designing, planning, and implementing key commercial processes, projects, and initiatives. This role focuses on optimizing sales performance, maintaining data integrity, and ensuring alignment with standard processes to deliver top- and bottom-line growth.

What You’ll Do

Drive Global Sales Strategy & Business Growth - We collaborate with regional and global teams to align on STRAP, Growth Initiatives, and AOP. You will:

Lead planning efforts to ensure alignment with business objectives worldwide.Identify growth opportunities through price optimization, margin improvements, and forecast accuracy.Analyze sales performance trends and implement data-driven strategies to improve results.

2. Lead Operational Excellence & Data-Driven Decision-Making - We believe that strong processes and insights fuel success. In this role, you will:

Optimize sales processes like territory alignment and target setting.Improve data integrity to drive accurate reporting and forecasting.Collaborate with global data teams to improve analytics tools and automate reporting.Promote the adoption of tools and automation to improve efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.Validated commercial experience and a successful track record of continuous improvement process and projectsStrong strategic, analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven foundation in financial skills used in a selling environment.
Strong leadership, excellent written and verbal communication skillsA record of developing sales tools, education and training programs to boost sales skills, technical proficiency and overall effectivenessProficient understanding of standard business practices related to sales operations processes and systems (sales cycle, sales methodology, CRM applications, reporting, forecasting, territory management and sales quotas).Extensive experience with software tools including, but not limited to CRM systems (salesforce.com & Microsoft Dynamics), relational databases and MS Office applications
