**Job Title: Electrician** **Job Description** We are seeking a qualified Electrician to join our team for construction projects based at Barksdale AFB. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, ensuring that work is done in accordance with relevant codes. Work involves technical application of electrical principles. This is all to be done using the appropriate equipment and implementing the required safety practices. **Responsibilities** + Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. + Ensure work is performed in accordance with relevant codes. + Perform communication Tela/Comm installation. + Handle underground utilities. + Conduct conductor installation. + Perform start-up and energizing procedures of equipment. + Install and maintain fire systems. + Retrofit all electrical systems in two separate projects. + Provide necessary tools such as knife, pliers/linemen, screwdrivers, nut drivers, key hole saw, hacksaw, hammer, level (small 12"), channel locks 2, needle nose pliers/long nose pliers, voltage meter/tester, tool pouch/belt for electrical, diagonal pliers, wrenches/stranded/metric, taps (6/32, 8/32, 10/24), wire strippers, socket set, tape measure (at least 25 ft.), side cutters, flashlight, cordless drill/impact drill, wrench set, crescent wrench. **Essential Skills** + Experience with conduit, electrical wiring, blueprint reading, construction, schematics, and cable installation. + Skills in bending conduit, terminating, switch panels, low voltage, medium voltage, transistors, underground wiring, lighting, emt, commercial construction, commercial electrical, and electrical schema. + Ability to run conduit, pull wire, install lighting, switches, terminations, panels, and perform troubleshooting. + Experience in industrial electrical wiring, installation, repair, conduit bending, pulling wire, cable, blueprint reading, electrical troubleshooting, installation, and pipe bending. **Work Environment** This position will require work on a construction site. Depending on the specific time in the project, you could be required to work inside or outside of the existing building, which is being retrofitted with new electrical systems. This project is located at Barksdale AFB. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $44.00 - $44.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
