Our team members are involved in a variety of projects that may include endangered species assessments, habitat restoration, water resources management, infrastructure assessment, water quality assessment, scientific diving, and commercial diving. We are seeking exceptionally talented and enthusiastic individuals with a keen interest in natural sciences to join our team and advance their career.
Your Key Responsibilities Conduct freshwater mussel surveys Conduct bathymetric surveys Conduct scientific dives and commercial dives (if qualified) Act as a member of the Stantec commercial dive team (if qualified) Conduct Surface Supplied Air and SCUBA diving operations onsite Assist with maintenance and repairs of diving equipment Assist with maintenance and repairs of boats, trucks, and other field equipment Prepare and enforce dive plans, job hazard analyses, and emergency management plans for projects Conduct sediment sampling Participate in multi-disciplinary environmental assessments Ability to inspect and maintain boats, trucks and other field equipment, ability to repair a plus Ability to record and track dive and maintenance logs Flexible schedule and willingness to travel for prolonged periods for field assignments; Position will primarily work on job sites. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Your Capabilities and Credentials Professionalism, positive attitude, and ability to work well with others Strong commitment to safe work operations Strong communication skills necessary to interact with management and clients Education and Experience Education: High School Diploma required. Experience: ADCI Air Diver certification and/or 2 years scientific diving experience. Prior mussel survey experience and advanced boat operation skills a plus. Licensure: State Issued Driver’s License required and ability to obtain DOT Driver Certification. Current dive physical or ability to pass dive medical screening.
