Who will you be working with?
Based in South Africa and reporting to the Global Commercial Director you will be responsible for leading the sales team, responsible for driving new business development and executing on the regional channels strategy to achieve the company’s growth goals.
How will you make a difference?
You will be expected to drive sales and customer leadership primarily through Africa and additionally through Europe and Middle East. As the commercial leader for the region you will play a key role in developing strategic relationships with senior executives, expanding market presence, and executing regional sales and channel strategies
What do we want to know about you?
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field (MBA is a plus).Minimum of 7-10 years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the mining or industrial sector.Experience managing complex sales cycles and large accounts, particularly in technical solutions and services.Proven track record of opening doors and building relationships with senior executives.Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and drive results.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions.What will your typical day look like?
Lead regional sales efforts, ensuring alignment with global sales strategies and objectives.Develop and nurture relationships with senior executives at major mining companies and partners, driving engagement and securing new business opportunities.Provide leadership and direction to the sales team, fostering a high-performance culture.Oversee account management activities for key regional customers, ensuring long-term customer satisfaction and retention.Identify and pursue new business development opportunities to expand the company’s footprint in the region.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, services, engineering) to ensure alignment with customer needs and the delivery of tailored solutions.Monitor and report on regional sales performance, including forecasting, pipeline management, and market trends.Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to build brand awareness and drive business growth.*Please note that we do not accept agency candidate submissions without a formalized agreement with Talent Acquisition.
