Commercial Banking Quality Assurance Coordinator

FUNCTION: Working closely with Loan Administration, Credit Origination, Relationship Managers, Commercial Banking Data and Systems Administrator, Credit Support Supervisor and Lending Compliance Officer will be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of processes and procedures to ensure continued compliance with all regulatory requirements relating to commercial lending transactions, (including but not limited to Regulation B, HMDA, CRA, Flood, Reg O).
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Compliance:
+ Maintains a competent level of expertise and knowledge of the requirements of the various regulations impacting Commercial Banking activities.
+ Work with Risk Management Compliance and Loan Administration to revise bank forms, letters and disclosures as necessary for compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
+ Subject matter expert and resource for the Credit Underwriting and Commercial Banking Teams relative to applicable laws and regulations.
+ Manages the periodic QC reviews performed by Risk and Compliance including but not limited to CRA, HMDA, Flood, and Reg B.
+ Acts as the primary contact point with the following groups as it pertains to systems, QA and compliance, FDIC, Audit and other external parties as it pertains to commercial banking quality assurance.
+ Works closely with internal and external legal counsel and consultants to research and solve problems.
+ Pulling reports from Cognos and other systems as needed for auditors, regulators and senior management of the Commercial Banking Department.
+ Coordinates and maintains an accurate and assessable system of documentation related to the Bank’s Community Development and CRA program activities and initiatives, including lending, investment and service activities required for CRA and compliance exams.
+ Works with other lines of business to ensure monthly loan records have been imported into RiskExec.
Quality Assurance Monitoring and Reporting:
+ Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive, risk-based QA monitoring program to ensure the ongoing regulatory compliance of commercial and small business loan documentation and operations.
+ Develop monitoring, trending, and reporting tools that support the QA activities.
+ Perform regular periodic reviews to ensure compliance with established QA standards and report results to Leadership.
+ Collaborate closely with the Commercial Banking Data and System Administrator to optimize the effectiveness of the loan origination system as a monitoring and support tool relative to regulatory data requirements.
Training and Procedures:
+ Work closely with Loan Administration, Credit Support and Credit Managers to streamline and simplify processes related to compliance.
+ Identify areas of training needs though review of monitoring reports, QA and QC reviews, compliance exception reporting, audits and exams.
+ Deliver training and/or formal communication avenues to ensure business is well versed relative to their responsibilities in compliance matters.
+ Collaborate with Bank personnel in other departments whose job functions require involvement in the QA process (i.e., HMDA, CRA, flood, Reg E, etc.).
Audits and Examinations:
+ Lead preparation efforts for federal and/or state regulatory compliance examinations and audits.
+ Address exam and audit findings, develop and carry out action plans where needed.
+ Assist internal audit and loan QC review with quality related findings.
Other:
+ Assumes responsibility for special problem-solving and fact-finding projects as assigned.
+ Assumes additional responsibilities as requested.

TEAMWORK, KNOWLEDGE/SKILL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
+ High school diploma required
+ College degree, related business/professional and/or banking experience preferred.
+ Commercial underwriting, loan processing, loan review and/or regulatory experience preferred.
+ Personal computer literacy.
+ Strong research skills.
+ High degree of analytical skills and the ability to handle complex problems.
+ Ability to work with little supervision.
+ Organized, sets priorities & meets deadlines.
+ Strong communication skills, verbal and written required.
+ Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
+ Excellent customer service skills.
