The Coloring Associate is responsible for the setup operation and cleaning of the Ultraviolet ink coloring lines Also responsible for pulling and staging optical fiber for the buffering ribbon and other manufacturing lines as applicable to match order specifications and maintain a constant manufacturing flow
Key Competencies
General knowledge of a variety of foundational skills Reading Writing Verbal Listening Mathematics Reasoning and Computer and applying them in a routine manner to the job
Operation of some specialized manufacturing equipment and tools which relate to the job such as the Ultraviolet coloring machines used in the coloring lab This is repetitive work requiring performance of routine tasks over and over again to set procedures and pace
The work requires precision adhering to and achieving exact levels of performance precise set limits tolerances and standards Optical fiber is expensive so waste must be minimized
The requirement to the lines producing at high capacity can cause stress for some associates
Excellent interpersonal skills and good work habits are required in order to have an effective and productive team
Requirements
1 year Experience in a similar position
Matric Certificate
Supervised on the job training of 5 to 6 weeks under the direction of a trainer and team leader
Mastery of the complete buffering operation including troubleshooting
Completion of certification in all aspects of the job
Salary Market related based on qualifications and experience
