To collect on arrears portfolio within mandate, resolve credit queries, negotiate payment arrangements by informing customers of various payment solutions and obtain approval for refinancing and repossessions in order to increase revenue.

Role Overview:

To recover delinquent accounts, compile and maintain basic credit information prepares reports obtains approval for refinancing and repossessions. To collect on arrears portfolio within mandate, resolve credit queries, negotiate payment arrangements by informing customers of various payment solutions and obtain approval for refinancing and repossessions in order to increase revenue.

Are you someone who can:

Manage costs / expenses within approved budget to achieve cost efficiencies.

Collect arrears and negotiate rehabilitation methods

Deliver exceptional service that exceeds customers' expectations through proactive, innovative and appropriate solutions.

Coordinate, collaborate and communicate effectively with external debt collectors to drive efficient processes for optimal off-balance sheet recovery.

Display accountability and ownership for the collections portfolio aligned to recovery targets and key performance indicators.

Successfully negotiate plans for repayment and identify opportunities for recoveries.

Provide a legal collections service in line with Treating Customers Fairly and client rehabilitation. 

Manage own development to increase own competencies.

You will be an ideal candidate if you:

Have a Finance, Banking, Collections & Credit related Diploma or degree.

Have 3+ years collections experience in a similar environment, with knowledge in banking, credit

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent negotiation skills with a view to client service.
