A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A Collections Supervisor

The Collection Supervisor’s primary responsibility is to develop the collections department. The Supervisor will be responsible for ongoing monitoring and assessment of the collection strategy and KPIs of the business. The Supervisor is responsible for assessing the collectability of clients’ accounts receivable and their likelihood to satisfy their financial obligations to United Water Restoration.

Analyze payment trends by client or client group and take action to address and or notify management when necessary Resolve client claims and disputed items while providing feedback to those processes to prevent similar errors in the future Handle escalated credit and collections decisions and must be able to gather and analyze credit, financial, and other pertinent data to determine next steps Partner with internal departments to support strategic goals while mitigating risk. Communicate with Field Operations and headquarters regarding account and portfolio status Manage escalation and exception processes. Ability to present information and respond to questions from internal business partners and clients Provide performance metrics to reflect key measurements in the department Minimize losses due to bad debt Be actively involved in department continuous improvement projects by identifying improvement opportunities, working on a project team, or leading a project

ABOUT YOU

5 years commercial collections experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Effective collections, issue resolution, deduction management, and negotiation skills Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of internal and external management through various methods of communication Ability to work with customers in sometimes difficult and confrontational situations Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Must have exemplary oral and written communication skills. High Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.
