Description We are seeking a Collections Specialist for our IT Software team based in Charleston, South Carolina. In this role, you will be working closely with customers and internal teams, focusing on managing customer accounts and ensuring their alignment with our financial policies. Responsibilities: • Engage with customers via telephone, mail, or fax to understand the reasons for overdue payments and strategize to secure them. • Participate actively in a phone queue system, addressing customer queries and concerns. • Keep a detailed record of the collection status for each customer and the efforts made to secure the payments. • Issue and apply credits to customer accounts following established procedures. • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer inquiries effectively. • Regularly report on collection results on a daily and weekly basis. • Direct customer disputes to the appropriate channels promptly and efficiently. • Utilize commercial collections and customer service skills to enhance the customer experience and ensure smooth operations. Requirements • Essential experience in the IT Software industry • Previous role as a Collections Specialist or similar is required • Demonstrated proficiency in Commercial Collections is a must • Experience in Collections - Commercial is necessary • Strong Customer Service skills are crucial • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Proficiency in using various IT software and applications • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle pressure • High level of integrity and detail oriented ethics.
