Cognos Analytics Consultant

Job Description:

What you'll be doing : 

Cognos Development:

Design, develop, test, and implement Cognos reports, dashboards, and frameworks to support business requirements

Develop interactive and visually appealing dashboards using Cognos Analytics

Data Integration & Modelling:

Design and develop data models using Cognos Framework Manager and Data Modules.

Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reports and dashboards.

Requirements Gathering & Collaboration:

Work closely with stakeholders to gather and analyse reporting requirements.

Collaborate with technical and business users.

What we're looking for : 

  

Essential Technical Skills: 

Proficient in IBM Cognos Analytics 12 (Report Studio, Dashboarding, Framework Manager). 

Strong understanding of relational and dimensional data modelling

Strong SQL Server skills

Desirable Technical Skills:

Ideally has DataStage skills, but familiarity with ETL tools and processes (e.g., Informatica, BODI, SSIS, Talend etc) is highly desirable.

Experience with data integration and ETL workflows to support BI reporting.

Non-Technical Skills & Experience

Self-starter that can ‘hit the ground running’ and deliver from day one.

Ability to work independently with low supervision.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication skills to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.

Experience working with Government agencies.
