You will guide apprentices through their learning journey, helping them develop the skills needed to succeed in the world of engineering. **What You’ll Do:** + **Deliver Tailored Fabrication Training** : Lead and manage training sessions for apprentices, ensuring they develop the essential fabrication skills, knowledge, and behaviours required to excel in their roles. + **Support Local Regiments** : Work closely with local military regiments, understanding their unique needs and ensuring that apprentices are trained to meet these specific requirements, whether in civilian or military engineering contexts. + **Provide Coaching and Mentorship** : Offer personalised support to apprentices, guiding them through their apprenticeship journey and providing valuable, constructive feedback. + **Regular Site Visits** : Conduct regular workplace visits—either virtually or on-site—to assess apprentices’ performance and ensure they are progressing towards achieving their apprenticeship standards. + **Assess and Review Progress** : Carry out detailed assessments and reviews of apprentices, ensuring they meet the required standards within the designated timelines. + **Embrace Technology** : Use modern digital tools and platforms to facilitate learning, track apprentice progress, and maintain accurate records. **Key Responsibilities:** + **Conduct Apprenticeship Assessments** : Carry out initial assessments to determine apprentices' starting points and tailor the training to meet their individual needs. + **Provide Mentorship & Feedback** : Guide apprentices through their learning journey with regular feedback and one-on-one coaching sessions. + **Workplace Engagement** : Foster strong relationships with local regiments and key stakeholders to ensure apprentices receive the right support, whether in the workplace or during training. + **Record Maintenance** : Maintain accurate and up-to-date apprentice records, using MIS systems and e-portfolios to track progress. + **Monitor & Report Progress** : Ensure apprentices are on track to meet their target achievement dates and provide regular reports to the Programme Manager. + **Quality Assurance** : Ensure that all training and assessments meet internal quality assurance standards and the required apprenticeship frameworks. **What We’re Looking For:** + **Fabrication Expertise** : A strong background in fabrication, with hands-on experience in engineering and fabrication processes. + **Relevant Qualifications** : A teaching or assessor qualification (or a willingness to work towards one) is essential for this role. + **Military Engagement** : A willingness to work with local military regiments, understanding their specific needs and challenges in the field. + **Coaching & Mentoring Skills** : Proven experience in coaching, mentoring, or training apprentices, with the ability to motivate and guide others. + **Proficiency in Digital Tools:** Comfortable using digital learning tools, e-portfolios, and online learning platforms to support apprenticeship delivery. + **Excellent Communication Skills** : Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to give constructive feedback that motivates apprentices to succeed. + **Adaptable and Flexible** : Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate the needs of apprentices and local regiments. **Desirable Attributes:** + **Experience in Ofsted Inspections** : Familiarity with the inspection process and the requirements for apprenticeship training. + **ESFA Funding Knowledge** : Understanding of ESFA funding and its impact on apprenticeship delivery. + **Target-Oriented** : A proven track record of achieving performance targets and delivering high-quality training within set deadlines. **Why Join Us?** At **Pearson TQ** , we’re committed to empowering apprentices and delivering impactful training programmes that make a real difference in the engineering industry.
