Are you ready to make your mark? If you’re an CNC Programmer, we have an exciting opportunity for you!  In this position you will support production from a technical standpoint and have an excellent understanding of the product being produced in the area. You will solve difficult manufacturing problems and work with members to implement process and product improvements. You will be responsible for programming multi-axis CNC machines to produce complex components in a large, diverse machines shop with high mix, low -volume production rates, as well as research and select proper CNC cutting tools.

What You Will Be Doing 

Create and modify simple to complex CNC programs using CAM software.Edit existing programs to improve efficiency in cycle-time and tool life.Observe, troubleshoot and support machine first-runs to ensure program quality and robustness.Support design reviews to ensure part drawings and models represent part manufacturability during development; includes making recommendations to improve part manufacturability.Research and select proper CNC cutting tools based on the material being used, surface finish requirements and tolerances.Participate and provide recommendations for selection of new tool/fixture designs and new work holdings.Create, maintain and improve cutting tool packages.Create, manage and modify post processors.

What We Are Looking For 

High School diploma/GED required.For Level II: 2-5 years’ experience with CNC programming required; For Level III:  5+ years’ experience required.Solid knowledge of CNC machine operations including setup, programming and controls.Solid knowledge of cutting tools, tool holders and workpiece clamping devicesSolid knowledge of CAD/CAM software.Solid knowledge of print reading.Solid knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) including the ability to interpret tolerances on prints.Solid understanding of manual and CNC equipment,Solid math skills (including fractions, decimals, arithmetic computations, material removal rates, trigonometry).
