The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision parts and components. The machinist should be capable of performing changeovers and setups on their own, ensuring the machines are running efficiently and producing high-quality products.
ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC machines, including mills, lathes, and grinders.Perform changeovers and setups independently, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machining operations.Adjust machine settings and tooling to achieve desired specifications and tolerances.Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines.Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure they meet quality standards.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC machines, including mills, lathes, and grinders.Strong understanding of CNC programming (Mastercam) and G&M codes.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.Experience with precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.be able to edit and program at machine on day one.
Be able to run multiple machines in a job shop environment.Seeking for a CNC machinist who can do some programming on Mastercam and will also run machines.Shift: 2 Swing Shift openings; 4-10s shift Monday- Thursday 3:15pm-1:45 pm
Pay: $25-30/hour
Candidates must be able to submit to a drug screen.
