CNC Machine Programmer III   Sigma Design is a product development, engineering, and manufacturing firm. The pay range is $38.41-59.38/hour. Primary Function: The CNC Machine Programmer III is responsible for CNC programming of 5-axis/3-axis machined and lathe parts according to blueprint specifications. Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities: + Utilizes G or M code and CAM software (HyperMill and Mastercam). + Analyzes engineering drawings, blueprints, models, and design data in order to develop CNC programs, setup sheets, tool selection, machine speeds, and feed rates. + Tests accuracy of settings and programs. + Configures tools and ensure efficient production. + Inspects parts using precision measuring tools. + Uses precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, fixtures, and gauges to accurately measure dimensions on parts being machined within print tolerance. + Follows all safe work practices & safety rules. + Communicates recommendations to modify processes to improve productivity and quality.. + Follow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences. Education and Experience: (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities) + Associates Degree or equivalent required. + Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience preferred. + Advanced HyperMill experience. + Advanced Mastercam experience. + Understanding of GD&T symbols and their application. + Strong written and verbal English language communication skills. + Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively internally and externally with clients. + Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, both within and outside one's own work group. + Demonstrate commitment and adherence to Sigma Design Core Values. + Pass a post-offer background verification. Work Environment Standard machine shop environment with various types of machinery. Appropriate safety garments (PPE) must be worn.
