Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital Department: Medical Surgical Unit Position is located: Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital Work Type: Full Time Hours Per Week: 36 Hours per Week Work Schedule: Variable Summary: Are you interested in becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant at Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital (MCH)? MCH is offering a FREE Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program! This excellent program is hosted at Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital in partnership with other Northern Light Health members. This 36 hour per week PAID position and consists of 24-32 hours of class and clinical experience per week, with the remaining hours spent as a Patient Experience Aide on one of nursing units at MCH. If you are accepted in the program, you will be a full-time employee while earning your CNA certificate. There are many benefits to this program. All applicants must meet the following criteria: - Participate in a pre-admission interview - Pass pre-employment background check - Take the CASAS (reading and math) test (paid for by NL MCH).
