Responsibilities

Position Summary: 

Assists the licensed staff in providing unskilled care to patients appropriate to patient age in Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: 

6 months experience in extended care or acute facility.CNA Certification from nurses aide training program in State of California. Current CPR certification (through American Health Association). Demonstrates skill in patient transfers to wheelchairs gurneys etc. Demonstrates skill in proper use of body mechanics Demonstrates skill in taking vital signs.Demonstrates skill in dealing with the public and using the telephone correctly.Must possess organizational skills for all physical duties and be able to work with diverse groups of people Able to do work in spite of frequent interruptions.Ability to read work product of others computer/monitor screens computer printouts.Able to perform mathematical calculations High level of concentration and attention to detail.Ability to work with a team and prioritize work Professionalism and confidentiality skills required Preferred Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED
