CMM Programmer

Johnson Service Group is looking for a CMM Programmer/Sr. Quality Assurance Inspector for one of our Aerospace Manufacturing clients in the Bay Area. Previous experience with Zeiss Calypso programming is required.
Responsibilities: Conduct thorough inspections of machined parts and components at various stages of production, utilizing precision measuring instruments and equipment. Verify product dimensions, tolerances, surface finishes, and other specifications as per engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions. Identify and document non-conformities, defects, or deviations from quality standards, and initiate appropriate corrective actions. Collaborate with production personnel to address quality issues, provide guidance on corrective measures, and ensure timely resolution. Perform incoming inspections of raw materials, ensuring compliance with quality requirements and specifications. Maintain accurate records of inspection results, including measurements, test data, and inspection reports. Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures, inspection techniques, and quality assurance initiatives. Participate in internal audits and process improvement activities to enhance quality performance and efficiency. Train and mentor junior inspectors on inspection techniques, equipment operation, and quality standards.
Qualifications: 5+ years of experience as a Quality Inspector in a machine shop or manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of machining processes and metal fabrication techniques. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications. ASME 14.5Y GD&T is (Required) 2+ years of experience in Zeiss Calypso programming (Required) Experience using a variety of precision measuring instruments and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and optical comparators. Knowledge of quality management systems and standards, such as AS9100, and familiarity with inspection techniques and methodologies. Proficient computer skills, including the ability to use inspection software, Microsoft Office applications, and ERP systems. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Flexibility to work occasional overtime or weekends as needed to support production schedules and quality objectives.
Pay Range: $60k-$75k DOE
Work Schedule: 9-80 work week, 7am-4:30pm
