Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a CMM Inspector.
The hours for this role are 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
The hourly rate for this position is $21.85 per hour.

What you’ll do:KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Select appropriate measuring instruments and measurement techniques for the job at hand.
• Set-up and inspect component parts to the appropriate drawings, process sheets, and inspection instructions.
• Document inspection results in accordance with the appropriate Quality Assurance Procedure.
• Perform and document results of first article inspections, FAA conformity inspections and expanded inspections on required programs.
• Utilize and operate all measuring equipment and instruments located within the machine shop and inspection locations.
• Prepare programs to direct the Coordinate Measurement Machines to measure parts to a given drawing.
• Document and interpret Coordinate Measurement Machine inspection results.
• Support Engineering Development efforts by performing both routine and specialized inspection as required by the circumstances.
• Ability to read and complete inspection ledger, inspection check sheet, operation sheet, move ticket and discrepancy report (DR/DMR), discrepant material report (DMR), and other paperwork as necessary to comply with Quality Systems including MRP system transactions.
• Notify supervisors when work received does not meet the specifications required by previous operators including paperwork requirements as observable.
• Performs operator defined TPM and/or 5S tasks as required.
• Return all tools to their proper location at the end of the shift and cleaning work area.
• Proper use of all tools and gages necessary to complete and to verify that all work performed completed to specifications as required.
• Compliance to Manufacturing Self-Release Process (MSRP) and responsible for the quality of the product going to next operation.
• Perform other duties as required with the job classification.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
• Prior work experience programming coordinate measurement machines (CMM).
• Prior work experience using various inspection techniques using handheld tools and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, micro-Hite, comparators, etc.
• Prior work experience using basic table layout techniques to inspect including, but not limited to, true position, perpendicularity, runout, and parallelism.
• Working knowledge of AS9100 & AS9102 requirements.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or GED required.
One of the following:
• Five (5) years prior work experience in a manufacturing or military environment reviewing engineering drawings to perform machining and inspection requirements utilizing various inspection techniques and equipment to meet GD&T standards.
• Five (5) years prior work experience in a manufacturing or military environment reviewing engineering drawings to perform inspection requirements such as, true position, perpendicularity, and other GD&T requirements utilizing table layout techniques.
• An Associates Degree in a technical field such as drafting, designing, industrial production, manufacturing engineering technology or machining plus a minimum of three (3) years of work experience interpreting engineering drawings to perform machining and or inspection requirement utilizing table layout techniques such as, true position, perpendicularity, and other GD&T requirements in a manufacturing or military environment.

• No relocation benefits offered for this position. Only candidates residing within one hundred miles of Eaton’s Jackson, MS facility considered for this position.
