**1ST SHIFT - CMM Inspector**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled CMM Inspector for a large aerospace facility in Los Alamitos, CA. The role involves operating and programming CMM for production parts and tooling fixtures according to engineering drawings using precision inspection tools and gauges. This is a day shift position from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform in-process and final inspection of tools, fixtures, and jigs used in subassembly and final assembly of manufactured products.
+ Analyze engineering blueprints, models, process specifications, shop travelers, and manufacturing planning documents to determine inspection requirements.
+ Maintain accurate records of all tool calibration activities and monitor intervals with high accuracy.
+ Coordinate with production supervisors and leads to maintain steady flow of tooling in and out of designated queues.
+ Program and run Coordinate Measuring Machine with Calypso 5.4 software.
+ Operate Metronics QC5000 CMM program and Romer Arm Verisurf with version 10 software.
+ Maintain CMM cleanliness and operations.
+ Operate and maintain Comparators.
+ Interpret complex tool drawings.
+ Use Standard Measuring Instruments (including sine plates) to make inspection set-ups.
+ Initiate appropriate inspection reports and record inspection results.
+ Maintain inspection data and perform periodic inspections on tooling listed on the monthly dispatch report.
+ File drawings and reports.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments typical of the tool and die making trade including coordinate measuring machines with Calypso 5.4 software.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
+ Working proficiency with shop geometry, trigonometry, and descriptive geometry.
+ Effective interface across organizational levels.
+ Good organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate, complete records.
+ Problem-solving skills including root cause and corrective actions.
+ Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
+ Computer proficiency including MS Office suite.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Requires 2 years related technical college/trade school, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Requires 6+ years related aerospace industry experience in precision inspection.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $64480.00 - $72800.00/yr.
