Job DescriptionAs the Assistant Director of Sales specializing in Weddings & Events, you will be one of the principal pillars of the hotel, passionately directing the day-to-day activities of the events sales team. You will inspire and coach your team to drive results in our wedding and special events segment. Working closely with the Area Director of Sales, you'll contribute to the annual departmental operating budget, hotel sales strategies, and event-focused business plans.
You will collaborate with the Cluster Revenue Director on event sales forecasting and develop specialized wedding showcases and event-focused sales initiatives to highlight our venue to potential clients. Building strong relationships with key wedding planners, event coordinators, and corporate clients will be essential, as will your comfort in exploring new markets within the events sector. You'll represent our property at wedding expos, event planning trade shows, and industry networking opportunities—both locally and nationally—to generate new business and increase event sales for the hotel.
QualificationsPassion for creating memorable guest experiences Proven experience in sales and event planning, with a strong background in luxury weddings, particularly in the Indian wedding sector.Experience working with 5-star hotels or high-end resorts is highly preferred.In-depth knowledge of the Indian wedding market, including cultural traditions, ceremonies, and specific event requirements.Exceptional client management and relationship-building skills, with a focus on high-net-worth individuals.Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Ability to multi-task, manage a team, and work under pressure to meet deadlines and client expectations.
