General Responsibilities

The Cloud Solutions Architect is responsible for analyzing, designing, building, implementing and deploying solutions in the cloud that meet business requirements. This role will work with the development teams' implementations of the cloud and:

• Migrate monolithic applications to micro services architectures
• Construct and maintain DevOps CI/CD pipelines
• Provide advise and guidance on implementing cloud best practices
• Collaborate in project planning
• Meets with technical personnel on specifics of projects, new technologies, and deadlines
• Stay up-to-date with new cloud services
• Monitor, support and maintain cloud solutions
• Provide 2nd level support to different applications processing, correcting errors, and - identifying easy and medium complexity processing errors.

The physical requirements of the position include sedentary work that requires lift, carry, pull, push 1 to 10 pounds occasionally, sitting frequently and walk and stand up occasionally.
 

 

Performs duties through methods and actions that are consistently ethical and in total compliance with the laws, applicable regulations, Code of Ethics, corporate policies and guidelines and rules of conduct. Completes corporate trainings and certifications intended for the detection and prevention of money laundering related activities and fraud, insider training and conflict of interest policies and procedures, as applicable.

 

Education and Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Computer Engineering or Computer Sciences or related area from a four-year college or university.
• One (1) year experience with AWS and Azure cloud implementations and/or equivalent certifications (Associate or professional/Expert level).
• Five plus (5+) years of experience with software development.
 

 

Knowledge and Skills Required

• Having extensive knowledge of the phases of the development cycle and efficiently communicating the status of their tasks, conflicts, and resolutions.
• Familiarity with Agile Scrum Methodology.
• Knowledge in programming and scripting languages.
• Experience with Linux/UNIX Operating Systems.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
 

 

Additional Information

Monday to Friday 8 hours 

Available to work extended hours, weekends and/or holidays as needed and the availability to travel as required supporting projects in the region.
