Complete Description:
The consultant shall work with software architects and business analysts to manage current and future cloud-based software solutions. The consultant should have experience designing, developing and implementing and securing cloud environments.
The consultant should have hands-on technical experience with one or more cloud-based application platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Microsoft Azure and have previous experience consulting on and architecting the implementation of a wide range of innovative cloud use cases. The consultant shall plan, design, and implement the overall Cloud architecture to protect the DCGOV IT infrastructure, and to provide a secure method of accessing applications and the Internet.
The consultant should have familiarity with industry standards, guidelines and regulatory compliance requirements related to information security and cloud computing such as ISO 27001, Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), NIST 800-53, PCI DSS, SOC2 etc.
The consultant shall develop an overall project plan for the entire engagement, including milestones and critical success checkpoints. The consultant shall have a strong understanding of the business needs for customer cloud adoption and ability to design the environment to meet those needs.
The consultant shall develop a requirements document. The document shall include all current requirements as well as probable requirements for the future.
The consultant shall develop a detailed design document for the solution. At a minimum the design document shall define the following:
1.Overall cloud solution architecture
2.Detailed specification of every component of the cloud solution
3.Detailed specification of every interface between the components and initial sizing analysis of the solution
4.Detailed specification of approach to scaling the cloud solution for future growth
5.Detailed specification of the interface between the cloud solution and management applications, processes and procedures.
6.Detailed specification of all the hardware and software that will be used to develop the cloud solution
7.Detailed specification of the configuration of every hardware and software component.
The consultant shall develop an implementation plan for the cloud solution.
The consultant shall develop a test plan for the cloud solution including acceptance criteria.
The consultant shall implement the cloud solution as per design document developed in the phased project.
The consultant shall test the cloud solution as per the test plan and ensure that all the acceptance criteria are satisfied.
The consultant shall develop an ‘as-built’ document that will detail all differences (if any) between the original design document and the cloud solution as it was implemented.
The consultant shall develop an ‘owner’s manual’ for the cloud solution. At a minimum this document will define the following:
1. Detailed specification of all tasks associated with routine, every day operation or logical procedures associated wit the management of the the cloud solution
2. Detailed specification of level of effort as well as skill levels and experience of the human resources required to operate the cloud solution once it is in production
