Job description:
As the Cloud Operations Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for building and leading a highly motivated technical team, maintaining our cloud infrastructure environment, and providing support to our internal and external customers. Day-to-day operations include but are not limited to: supporting Azure and server OS related issues and requests, second level incident support and system administration, automation and process improvements through automation, vulnerability remediation, audit participation, addressing trending issues, interacting and coordinating with our partner operations teams, managing our Cloud Services including deployments (as needed) and rolling out hotfixes. The role involves incident call management, incident resolution, managing escalations and disaster recovery participation. You will also mentor support technicians to meet the customer’s needs.
Role: Cloud Operations Manager
Key Responsibilities:
o Build and manage a second level support team. Supporting a 24/7 service.
o Integrate with and support partner Operations teams within the program
o Constantly seek to improve, resolve, and streamline processes through automation to meet operational challenges, provide consistency and reduce incidents and MTTD/MTTF
o Oversee process integration with partner teams
o Coordinate with Service Management team regarding Incident, Problem, Configuration and Change Management Processes for OS and all Cloud Services
o Oversee Security and compliance policy guidelines and monitoring for OS and Cloud Services.
o Supervisory responsibilities following the organization’s policies.
o Responsible for defining and documenting processes and Standard Operating procedures to bring about order and consistency.
Required Skills and Experience:
o Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or related professional experience in a related field.
o 8+ years of progressive IT experience/management in large complex information systems. Including on-prem data center, ie: server, storage management, virtualization, networking, systems management, and project management as well as Azure.
o Understanding of automation tools such as Terraform, Puppet, etc.
o Effective Customer facing communication skills that build confidence.
o Experience with SOC, SOC2, CIS, etc. compliance controls
o Experience in managing production systems on a large scale.
o Experience utilizing Linux and Windows systems.
o Solid understanding operational support concepts like change management, on call rotations, escalations, and uptime
Preferred Skills And Experience:
o Cloud Architecture Certification
o Experience with Data and Cyber security
o Experience with Data Protection and Archiving solutions
o Experience designing and consuming cloud service architectures.
o Experience in deploying and supporting web-based applications.
o Understanding of operational concepts like network security, routing, and load balancing.
o Understanding of protocols like TCP/IP, SSH, RDP, etc.

Required Education
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree , Computer Science/Information Technology, Science & Technology or equivalent.
