Our 12-week paid internship program offers firsthand experience and meaningful projects that have an impact on our business. Throughout the program, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside industry professionals receiving mentorship, professional development, and networking opportunities that will expose you to various aspects of our industry.

Build a Career: 

In our GTS department as a Cloud/DevOps Intern! Our Cloud/DevOps team builds and supports  hybrid cloud infrastructure and related software to ensure a stable and performant environment. Additionally, this team assists with the development of cloud-ready application architectures and helps automate integration and deployment activities, among other critical projects.

Former interns analyzed department processes and other Gordon Food Service systems encountered and made recommendations and improvements, as well as participated in quality monitoring activities/process improvement activities.

Build the Future by: 

Being an intern at Gordon Food Service, North America's largest family-owned broadline food service distributor and working alongside our GTS department. This team works out of our recently opened tech hub in Atlanta, a part of  the larger Gordon Food Service community headquartered near Grand Rapids, Michigan. 

Meeting the following qualifications to be considered for our 2025 internship program: 

Currently enrolled in a university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Must be authorized to work in the US.

Source Code Management Experience in Gitlab

Infrastructure as Code / Automation Experience with Terraform / Gitlab pipelines

Development Experience (e.g. Java, Python, Go)

Familiarity with Cloud Networking Concepts (GCP Preferred)
