Conceptualize and implement a comprehensive, thoughtful, and best-in-class data ingestion and processing capabilities that will support and enhance our New Data Platform.Provide technical leadership, leading the team to build reusable and scalable data pipelines and new API integrations to support continuing increases in data volume and complexityWork in tandem with source system and application teams to integrate and establish data pipelines using Databricks, S3 and other AWS services.Understand data landscape i.e., tooling, tech stack, source systems etc. and work closely with extended platform teams to improve data collection, quality, reporting and analytics capabilitiesCollaborate with analytics and business teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility, and fostering data-driven decision-making across the organizationParticipate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle for AWS solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assuranceTroubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, fix, and document problems, and implement preventive measuresDemonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, with an ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivityActively contribute toward our culture of continuous learning by proactively identifying and evangelizing best practices globally.What you need to have:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishBachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science, information technology, or mathematics3+ years of relevant Data Ingestion/ETL/ELT, Big Data and Data Visualizations experience in mission-critical platforms.Strong Python or Java development and SQL experienceExperience with schema design and dimensional data modelling.Experience working on AWS and related services (not limited to) such as Glue, Athena, S3.Must have experience working in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing expectations and requirements(Agile)What makes you stand out?
