Overview of Job Function

Verint’s Cloud Architect for our Site Reliability and Security Engineering Teams focuses on Verint’s cloud platform, OKD-based cloud agnostic solution.  Using their expert knowledge and experience in Kubernetes, this role works with engineering leadership, development, operations and client services teams to develop creative solutions satisfying technical and business requirements. Additionally, this role provides recommendations to management regarding process, technologies, or other improvements intended to benefit productivity, efficiency and/or quality of the solutions developed.

Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, debug and evolve Kubernetes large-scale k8s clusters in multiple clouds and availability zones as well as microservice architecture. Research and introduce innovative technologies for Verint’s multi-cloud platform Identify and implement performance, reporting and automation improvements Provide subject matter expertise for cloud platform support and microservice architecture  Provide technical leadership by influencing the design and architecture of major software components, systems, automation testing, and features Foster a culture of creativity and excellence through technical innovations and thought leadership Mentor and train other engineers on design techniques, test automation methodologies and coding standards Lead and promote best practices in automated testing and continuous integration Improve architecture and code base to be scalable to support growth 

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field or equivalent experience 8 years experience in operating globally-distributed infrastructure in a 24/7, five 9s environment  Ability to manage multiple priorities and parallel projects with strong organizational, time management, and project leadership skills Ability to lead small teams virtually Experience with Git version control 5 years experience with Kubernetes, Containerization, Microservices 5 years experience with basic scripting in Bash, Python, etc. 5 years experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Helm Experience with Cloud hosting services: AWS, Azure, GCP Experience with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, Harness, GitLab CI/CD, etc. Ability to take ownership of assignments and drive to resolution Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment Aptitude to learn and apply advanced data analytics/visualization, and machine learning to products Excellent communication and collaboration skills Successful completion of a background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC, SS Verification, as well as credit and drug screening, where applicable and in accordance with federal and local regulations

Preferred Requirements:

Experience with identity solutions such as Auth0, Keycloak Experience with Hashicorp suite, including Vault, Consul, Boundary Experience with CI/CD build automation and a drive to automate everything Experience with Redhat Openshift/OKD and its ecosystem Experience with observability systems such as Datadog Experience working with and deploying on Linux operating systems  Experience as a technical lead of an engineering team
