Description We are on the lookout for a proficient Cloud Architect to join our team in The Woodlands, Texas. In this role, you will focus on developing and implementing a cloud adoption roadmap, leading cloud migration initiatives, and providing recommendations on cloud technologies. You will also work closely with cybersecurity teams and other departments to design automated and scalable cloud solutions. Responsibilities • Develop a cloud adoption strategy, ensuring a seamless transition from on-premises infrastructure to a cloud environment • Lead various cloud migration initiatives, which include workload assessments, application modernization, and data migrations • Evaluate and endorse cloud service providers and technologies that align with our business objectives • Maximize user productivity by enhancing collaboration tools such as Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Exchange Online • Implement best practices for identity and access management (IAM) including Azure AD, Conditional Access, and MFA • Ensure compliance with data retention, security, and regulatory requirements within the O365 ecosystem • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to reinforce cloud environments and ensure adherence to security best practices • Develop and enforce policies related to resource provisioning, cost management, access control, and data protection within cloud environments • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, offering guidance on cloud technologies and industry best practices • Collaborate with application, networking, and security teams to design automated and scalable cloud solutions • Educate IT staff on cloud technologies, best practices, and operational efficiencies. Requirements • Proficiency in Amazon CloudWatch is a necessity for the role. • Extensive knowledge of Amazon EC2 is required. • Applicants should have hands-on experience with Ansible. • Familiarity with Atlassian Jira is essential. • The ability to implement Auto Scaling is a key requirement. • Candidates must be adept in API Development. • A solid understanding of Automation techniques is expected. • Mastery of AWS Technologies is mandatory for the position. • Knowledge of Backup Technologies is a prerequisite. • Applicants must have experience in Cluster Analysis.
