Looking for a change? We are looking for someone to fill the role of clinician at the Juvenile Detention Center. The Clinician I or II will provide clinical, case management, and consultation services for individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders, and/or developmental disabilities and their family/caregivers. Provides counseling, therapy, crisis intervention, assessment, Individualized Service Plan (ISP) development, psychoeducation, and referrals primarily to youth in the local juvenile detention center, as well as family therapy with their family/caregivers. Develops and maintains working relationships with individuals serviced, families and/or caregivers, other NRVCS programs, and other community agencies and resources as needed to ensure quality services.

 

Starting Salary:

Clinician I: $46,706

Clinician II: $56,518

 

Education Requirements:

Clinician I:

Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling or other license-eligible Human Services field is required. Required to register and become licensed-eligible within 3 months of hire, with the Virginia Board of Counseling.

Clinician II: 

Master's Degree in Social Work, Counselling or other license-eligible Human Services field is required. State of Virginia license required in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or other related field.
