CLINICIAN I - NRCC STUDENT SUPPORT

New River Valley Community Services is seeking a New River Valley Community College Student Support Clinician to provide clinical services, case management, and consultation for individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders, and/or developmental disabilities. The student support clinician will provide counseling, crisis intervention, assessment, Individualized Service Plan (ISP) development, psycho-education, and referrals as needed; in addition to developing and maintaining work relationships with the individuals served, families, and/or caregivers, NRCC staff, other NRVCS programs, and community agencies and resources as needed to ensure quality services. This Clinician will also serve as a liaison between all stakeholders to address student matters regarding academics, attendance, mental health, behaviors, and community functioning. 

 

Starting Salary: $46,015-Depending on Experience

 

Education Requirements:

Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or other licensed-eligible field required. At least one year of experience in a setting working with children and adolescents with emotional disturbance, substance use disorders, and/or developmental delays is required. State of Virginia license eligibility in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family or other related field is required.
