Under the supervision of the Deputy Director of Clinical Services for Day Treatment Programs in the Hudson Valley, this program provides short-term therapeutic and educational support for students who are unable to be successful in their district classes. This program is a 6 to 8 week program that follows a school schedule. Familiarity with evidence based clinical assessment and treatment of both mental health and substance use disorders and experience in working within those frameworks is preferred. This position requires the ability to provide individual therapy, group therapy and family therapy. Clinicians provide individual therapy at least twice weekly and group therapy daily and family therapy as needed. They would work in an integrated way with Ulster County BOCES who provides the educational services for the program. In addition, clinicians are expected to work collaboratively with any outside providers the clients may have and to help clients obtain outside providers if they do not have any.
