Summary:
The Clinical Team Assistant acts as a central point of contact for all clinical staff to sustain efficient team operations and facilitate top of license work by designated manager. The incumbent collaborates with direct clinical leader for staff productivity, quality outcomes, patient satisfaction, and clinical practice standards delivery. Responsibilities include facilitating the supply management process, providing general clerical support to assigned clinical leader/team members, addressing patient concerns/needs of the team, and researching problems of concern, following through with a resolution. The incumbent utilizes critical thinking and problem-solving skills to promote continuous quality improvement in supporting the patient care experience.
Responsibilities:
+ Acts as primary contact for clinical team coordination and utilizes clinical knowledge to support clinical team needs.
+ Collaborates with clinical leader to maximize staff productivity, quality outcomes, patient satisfaction, and clinical practice standards delivery.
+ Consistently uses of electronic health record (EHR)/electronic resources to identify, collect, and generate team reports as directed to assist the clinical leader and clinical team with improving work unit performance. Partners with clinical leader to correct identified concerns and trends.
+ Responds to patient and family needs, assists in researching concerns, and collaborates with the clinical leader on resolution of issues.
+ Contributes to the process of hiring and onboarding staff as well as performance management within the department.
+ Functions in a clinical capacity (within the scope of professional license) in support of agency operations.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Other Information:
+ Current registration or certification as a registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, medical assistant, social worker, occupational therapist, physical therapist, physical therapist assistant, or speech therapist in the State of Maine is preferred but not required.
+ BLS for Healthcare Providers.
+ Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, utilizing electronic resources.
+ Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and agency required auto liability insurance. Must be able to drive within assigned region as directed. Statewide travel may be required on occasion.
