Clinical Support Specialist

Job Description Summary

Support sales force as clinical experts, providing clinical and educational tools and programs to ensure successful understanding and application of ResMed products and solutions. Assist the sales force in the development and expansion of new and existing accounts through in-services and training. 

Responsibilities

Performs virtual and in-person product demonstrations and educational trainings with a high degree of competency on all ResMed solutions and their therapeutic applications.Serves as clinical expert on all ResMed products, services and solutions and competitive products, within the respiratory and sleep disorder diagnosis and therapy arena.Provides detailed instruction on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of sleep and respiratory disorders and associated comorbidities. Develops customer in-service training tailored to various healthcare provider audiences that include agendas, learning objectives, curated slides, various training mediums, and evaluations. Evaluates the effectiveness of customer in-services, communicates feedback and metrics, and modifies content and delivery as needed for continuous improvement.Drives and reinforces the importance of ResMed internal training curriculums and utilization of approved external facing training tools with emphasis on virtual and on-demand tools when appropriate.Remains current on reimbursement guidelines, market and customer dynamics, sleep industry trends and advances, and clinical practices and evidence in the homecare, physician care and sleep lab settings.Assists with the evaluation and testing of products and provides feedback.Conducts training and observation in the sleep lab to improve knowledge of bi-level titration practices and protocols, and to identify potential new business opportunities.Addresses and resolves clinical issues and inquiries related to ResMed products and solutions. Under the direction of the Commercial Education Manager, updates and maintains educational materials to reflect the latest clinical guidelines, research findings, and product advancements. 

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in nursing, respiratory therapy, or related healthcare field, with a focus in the health-related field of sleep or respiratory therapy.Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in sleep and respiratory therapy or nursing. Certified Respiratory Technician (CRT), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Registered Polysomnography Technician (RPSGT). Current license or appropriate registration preferred.Proficient in Teams, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.Able to simplify the complex.Proven experience in developing and delivering clinical education programs. Excellent and dynamic presentation and communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Demonstrated proficiency in business practices, organization and time management skills.Ability to work effectively in a highly regulated industry, with strong attention to detail.Must be able to work independently, as well as in a team environment.Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time.

Individual pay decisions are based on a variety of factors, such as the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.

At ResMed, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  A reasonable estimate of the current base range for this position is: $84,000 - $105,000

For remote positions located outside of the US, pay will be determined based the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.
