The New York Foundling’s School Based Mental Health Program (SBMH) partners with schools around NYC to increase accessibility of mental health services to families by bringing high quality, evidence-based mental health treatment inside schools where any child enrolled in public schools can reach them. We also aim to build school’s capacity to meet the social and emotional needs of their students by empowering schools to think and operate proactively and relationally through ongoing collaboration, school faculty consultations, and delivery workshops to the school community.

 

The SBMH team is looking for a Clinical Supervisor to join our team.

Responsibilities

***UP TO $2,000 SIGN ON INCENTIVE***

Under the supervision of the Assistant Vice President (AVP), the Clinical Supervisor:

Oversees and supervises approximately 5 staff members consisting of therapists and family advocates assigned to the schools.Supports staff in their delivery of targeted, selective, and universal services to the school communitySupports staff’s clinical and professional development through weekly 1:1 supervision and monthly group supervision focusing. Provides clinical guidance on case conceptualization, treatment planning, diagnosing, interventions, crisis support, and referrals/linkages.Evaluates job performance of supervisees and uses data to guide discussions around KPIs and deliverablesEnsures compliance with OMH, contract, and agency documentation standards by reviewing progress notes, psychosocial assessments, and treatment plans Supports staff with school community integration through fostering positive relationships and proactive communication with school stakeholders, attending/coordinating meetings and providing on-site support as needed Supporting staff’s delivery of trainings, workshops, presentations, and consultations to enhance capacity of the school community (faculty and parents) to meet the social and emotional needs of their students. Supervisors may directly provide workshops and other universal services at the school if needed for staff development and team support Supports in developing and implementing program and/or school specific protocols as neededMaintains relationships with other NY Foundling programs to promote collaborationEnsures staff are meeting KPIs and deliverables around client outcomes through partaking in program monitoring process and case reviews.Provides licensure group supervision (separate form weekly supervision) for the license eligible therapists within and/or outside of the program.Coverage support as needed (co-facilitation of group, school on-site support)Ensures availability of clinical support to staff for higher needs students through 24/7 weekday on call availability and participation in weekend on-call rotation.Participates in leadership development activitiesOther duties as assigned.

Salary Range - $82,846.97-$86,346.97/year

Qualifications

Required Educational Level and Licenses:

Masters of Social Work (MSW), Mental Health Counseling degree, MFT or the equivalent in a related field.

Full licensure (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT or related) required.

 

 

Preferred Experience and Knowledge:

1-2 years of supervisory experience in evidence-based services, clinical interventions, preventive settings, and/or school based mental health services3-5 years of accumulated experience (internships through post-graduate) providing direct services to youth and their families Excellent communication skills Creative and energeticSelf-starter and independent worker.
