Clinical Supervisor
Overview The Clinical Supervisor of IDD services/In-Home Day program Coordinator is a dynamic position that requires the ability to support a diverse IDD caseload. This position will work with the team in the individual’s home, community and/or facilities. The person in the position will be expected to make decisions on a daily basis consistent with the organization's values. In addition the position will work with developing curriculum for day activities of IDD population. The position is typically full time salaried exempt however can be offered on a part time hourly basis. Responsibilities CBC Value: Safety ENSURE SERVICE QUALITY Ensure continuity of care for persons served including authorizations, annual documentation to support ongoing maintenance of services Communicate proactively with individuals served, family members, and other stakeholders to solicit input and feedback on the quality of care Monitor and support the safety and well-being of persons served and staff, including crisis response and required documentation Maintain current knowledge of state and federal regulatory and service requirements On-site, in-home visitation, depending upon service requirements to ensure environmental safety and service compliance CBC Value: Teamwork PERSON CENTERED SUPPORTS and STAFFING Coordination of family/recipient interviews Review and train staff on person specific competencies Scheduling authorized services for service recipient CBC Value: Family Focused and Caring SERVICE PLANNING/GOAL DEVELOPMENT Participate in collaborative team meetings to support the development of long-term goals and develop short range goals to align with long range goals. Develop support plan based upon needs, desires and preferences of person served Ensure plan is current and authorized by payer before service delivery, including all plan components and assessments Ensure documentation regarding progress towards goals per service requirements Communicate with the care team to ensure the plan meets the needs of the person served. Monitor utilization to ensure authorized units meet the person’s needs. PLANNING RESPONSIBILITIES Facilitate community outings (ex. bowling, community service). Email/Call potential field trip opportunities Delegate groups if field trip cannot accommodate large groups Inventory, Supplies, Curriculum, and Activities in each home Keep track of incoming inventory and how it correlates to the curriculum/activities PROGRAM AND CURRICULUM RESPONSIBILITIES Instruct the staff and consumers to follow daily schedule within timeframes given Encourage students to lead classes and activities Review materials that are needed Lead classes as an example to students and staff Be inclusive, encouraging, and excited Assign and empower students and staff to use their unique interests, talents and skill sets to lead classes Set up the supplies/curriculum needed for program activities Update Program Manager on activity changes (especially if it involves an off-site activity) Complete the schedule with students and staff Train staff on schedule and curriculum Travel to each home throughout the month to monitor programs Provide a travel schedule to the supervisor. WORK ENVIRONMENT Work environment is in recipient homes, field work and travel is expected. All appointments and meetings will be kept on your google calendar and visible to your supervisor. After hours or weekend work as assigned. MEETING RESPONSIBILITIES Check-in with the Regional Director on a weekly basis Attend monthly day program coordinator meeting Weekly team meeting with Clinical Supervisors and others as assigned Qualifications Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient with standard office productivity software and tools Ability to work independently and as a part of a team and manage time effectively Reliable transportation Acceptable background check FL Requirement: Supervision of developmental services shall be provided by a person with at least one year of documented experience working directly with individuals who have developmental disabilities and holds at least a Bachelor's degree in a human services field such as sociology, social work, special education, rehabilitation counseling, nursing, or psychology. "Qualified developmental disabilities professional" or "QIDD" means a professional who (i) possesses at least one year of documented experience working directly with individuals who have developmental disabilities; (ii) is one of the following: a doctor of medicine or osteopathy, a registered nurse, a provider holding at least a bachelor's degree in a human service field including sociology, social work, special education, rehabilitation engineering, counseling, or psychology; and (iii) possesses the required Florida or national license, registration, or certification in accordance with his profession, if applicable.
