Responsibilities

Job Summary

Oversees day-to-day clinical responsibilities of Marriage and Family Therapists and Interns and monitor the quality of program services.  Responsibilities include reviewing therapy sessions and guiding Therapists in developing appropriate interventions, treatment plans appropriate to the industry standard, conduct ongoing assessments of the effectiveness of the treatment program, and work with the Program Services Director to ensure program efficiency.

Provides individual and group therapy and counseling sessions and documents appropriate notes for sessions provided.Provides Crisis Intervention sessions to clients on an as needed basis.  Documents in record and communicates to team results of sessions.Conducts initial assessments on assigned clients on an as needed basis to support the team workloads.Recommends to treatment team any specialized services identified for clients either while client is in treatment or as part of aftercare.  Uses professional knowledge base to recommend programs and providersProvides individual and group supervision to MFT Interns which is consistent with expectations from the Board of Behavioral Sciences.Provides mentoring and/or coaching to other staff consistent with clinical supervisory skills.Serves as a clinical consultant on complex and sensitive cases.Makes self available to participate in after hours on-call supervision.Develops and conducts staff training activities to improve their clinical practice.Develop and write protocols as requested.Maintain Group Assignments Chart and keep track of coverage substitutions.Perform Quarterly Audits of Active and Closed Charts.Review documentation in electronic health record, and co-sign utilization review initial assessments, treatment plans, biopsychosocial assessments, and discharge summaries.Liaison with families of Clients as request during intake, treatment, and discharge planning.Responsible and accountable for managing direct reportsPreparation and presentation of performance evaluations.Provides objective feedback to employees.Makes appropriate compensation recommendations, if applicableProvides appropriate training for department and hold staff accountable for attending required training.Holds interviews for vacant positions and makes appropriately selects candidates to fill open positions.Responsible for recommending and ensuring regulatory staffing patterns & managing annual budget.Monitors adherence to company and department policies, procedures and practices.Creates and supports a positive, professional, team-oriented, harassment free work environment by understanding and complying with the company’s policies. Qualifications

Education/Experience:

Master’s Degree in a behavioral sciences or mental health related field required, experience in a mental health setting preferred.Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.At least two years of clinical supervision, AAMFT approved supervisor preferred.Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar. Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills; and participates in meetings.Working knowledge of MS Office, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
