Responsibilities

The Research Specialist-Clinical Outcomes holds a key role in supporting the Outcomes Training Program, part of the BNI Clinical Research Organization (BNI CRO). Under the direction of the Director of Outcome Measurements Training, the research coordinator role performs activities to support the highest quality outcome measurements for multi-site sponsored clinical trials on ALS.


Responsibilities include:

o   Performs outcomes data grading activities and issues training and certification documents to evaluators, per research protocol, including but not limited to functional rating assessments, pulmonary function, and muscle strength testing.

o   Maintains records of training and certification documentation for outcome measure evaluators.

o   Serves as point of contact for study sponsors and site staff for outcome measurement communications.

o   Assists with in person and virtual outcome measurements training sessions.

o   Tracks and ships outcomes equipment and disposable supplies to study sites.

o   Monitors and maintains outcomes equipment inventory and calibration status, including but not limited to pulmonary function spirometers and hand held dynamometers.

o   Assists with in person and virtual outcome measurements training sessions.

o   Serves as point of contact for study sponsors and evaluators for outcome measurement communications.

o   Ensures study documents are maintained in compliance with applicable regulations, guidelines, and policies (i.e. FDA, OHRP).


Qualifications

MINIMUM

Associate's Degree in related field or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or job-related experience in lieu of a degree required

HIgh School Diploma Required

Minimum 2 years related experience required

Competent in computer skills including the Google/Microsoft Office products required.

PREFERRED

Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.

Preferred 3+ years clinical experience
