Programs are offered for children, adolescents and adults struggling with mental illness as well as offering services specializing in Anxiety, Eating Disorders, and Geriatric Services. *Job Summary* Directed by Dr. Godfrey Pearlson, the Olin Neuropsychiatry Research Center (ONRC) is a 50-person clinical neuroscience research facility at the Institute of Living in Hartford, CT. Our mission is to conduct research into a wide variety of mental health conditions across people of all ages and to rapidly translate that research into new and effective treatments. The Cognition, Brain Imaging, Behavior Research and Allelic Variation Laboratory (COBBRA Lab) at ONRC, also led by Dr. Pearlson, performs large-scale, multi-domain quantitative research that examines major mental disorders, addictive processes, and normal aging. Research techniques used in the COBBRA Lab include testing new medications and therapies, utilizing virtual reality, functional and structural magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), electroencephalography (EEG), cognitive testing, and genetics. A Clinical Research Assistant is needed to work on one or more research projects in the COBBRA Lab. The role includes responsibilities such as recruiting, screening, data collection, and data entry. The position reports to the Lab Manager. This is an ideal position for individuals aspiring to a professional career in clinical psychology or clinical neuroscience research, especially those planning to apply for graduate or medical school within the next several years. * Bachelor’s Degree in a field such as neuroscience, psychology, sociology, or a related subject in healthcare and psychiatry. * Experience in human subject research, including knowledge of human subject ethics, informed consent, research protocols, and procedures. * Preferred previous experience in conducting psychological interviews and/or cognitive testing. * Familiarity with data software programs such as SPSS, R, and RedCap is also preferred. * Minimum commitment of 2 years highly preferred.
