This position is located at Dwight D Eisenhower Army Medical Center- Neuroscience and Rehab (TBI) in Fort Eisenhower, Georgia.
Position available for a full-time Clinical Psychologist( Neuropsychology) at Fort Eisenhower, adjacent to Augusta, Georgia, famous for its major attraction, The Masters Golf Tournament. Ft Eisenhower has a moderate year-round climate and offers close proximity to metropolitan areas, beaches along the Atlantic Ocean and the Appalachian Mountains.
The Augusta area is a growing community with an excellent quality of life. A wide variety of cultural and outdoor recreational activities are readily available locally, and many more are easily accessible from the coast to the mountains. ResponsibilitiesAs a Clinical Psychologist ( Neuropsychology) you will:
Provides neuropsychological consultation to Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Dwight D Eisenhower Army Medical Center (DDEAMC).Directly evaluates the most difficult and complex cases involving neurological/neuropsychological dysfunction as well as co-morbid psychiatric conditions.Provides neuropsychological screening and assessment (clinical interview, assessment, scoring, interpretation, report writing) with a broad range of active duty service members and eligible retirees and dependents.Provides clinical supervision and training to lower graded psychologists providing psychometric services and neuropsychological assessments for patients with difficult and complex problems within DDEAMC.Develops and implements a Neuropsychology Program.Serves as advisor and consultant to the Regional Medical Command (RMC) and other staff and officials in the specialized area of clinical neuropsychology to include comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations, diagnosis, and disposition.
Qualifications
US Citizenship required
Preferred Fellowship in Neuropsychology
Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.
A current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently from a U.S. State, the District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction is required.
Candidates will have completed an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited doctoral graduate program and an APA accredited predoctoral internship.
