Responsibilities As a Clinical Psychologist, you will serve in a detention facility staffed by the ICE Health Services Corp, providing care for detainees in ICE Custody. You will perform the following duties: Screen and interview patients, and perform bio-psychological social evaluations. Conduct therapy, monitor, approve, and document all treatment planning. Analyze clinical assessments of patients by reviewing and diagnosing the appropriate modality of each patient. Develop treatment processes and procedures for orientation of patients and evaluate overall effectiveness of therapeutic efforts, and institute changes to increase effectiveness of therapeutic efforts. Independently plan and carry out assigned duties in accordance with generally accepted psychological theories, techniques, and professional practice standards with full professional responsibility. Basic Requirements: Must possess all of the following: Degree: Clinical psychology: You must have successfully completed all the requirements for the Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology. Licensure: You must possess an active, current, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently offered by a State license in clinical psychology from a U.S. State, the District of Columbia, Commonwealth, Territory or Jurisdiction District? (You must provide a copy with your application. Upload document type is "Professional License") AND Certification: You must be willing to maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare provider certification. This certification shall be maintained in a current status at all times while performing services. (You must provide a copy with your application. To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, you must possess at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service OR equivalent public or private sector experience, which must include performing the following duties: Perform psychodiagnosis and psychotherapy at a level of professional maturity for the full range of mentally disturbed patients in psychiatric or general medical hospitals or community mental health centers; AND Apply psychological theories, principles to explain or justify psychological diagnoses, conclusions, findings or treatment recommendations.
