Job Title: Clinical Project Manager Assistant
Job Description

The Project Manager Assistant (PMA) performs a variety of research and administrative duties to support the management of clinical trials. The PMA is responsible for the collection, documentation, and compilation of clinical research images and data under the direction of the Project Manager. This role includes assigning reader grading tasks, filing study documents, distributing site initiation forms, tracking certification of site technicians, and tracking submission of images and functional tests for grading. Additionally, the PMA is involved in querying sites, entering data, performing source document verification (SDV), and conducting quality control (QC) activities such as reconciliation and reconciliation verification (RV).

ResponsibilitiesCommunicate with sites, sponsors, and CROs regarding study specifics and image issues.Assist with study startup and site certification activities.Track, confirm, and document receipt of all images and functional test materials received.Manage certification reader assignments and assist with other reader assignments as needed.Respond to data queries as appropriate.Prepare materials for and perform data QC review, including reconciliation and reconciliation verification.Perform data entry, source document verification, filing, and other clerical duties as requested.Assist all staff members as necessary to meet the needs of various studies.Attend group meetings as needed.Participate in study conference calls as appropriate.Provide coverage for assigned studies when the Project Manager is unavailable, including time-sensitive activities such as patient screening and sponsor requests.Help train new PMAs.Essential SkillsCompletion of a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.At least one year of directly related experience in clinical research is preferred.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Capable of exercising good judgment.Ability to be flexible when priorities change.Proficiency in dealing with a variety of constituents efficiently.Ability to learn new programs quickly.Strong organizational skills.Ability to work under deadline pressure.Ability to prioritize work assignments.Excellent multitasking abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Outlook.Proficiency in data entry and spreadsheet management.Work Environment

This position is 100% home-based after initial in-person training. It is preferred that the candidate is within driving distance to Durham, NC Duke Campus for occasional in-person team meetings.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
