Clinical Nurse Educator- Rare Disease/Hematology

In this role as Clinical Nurse Educator for Rare Disease/Hematology, you’ll provide clinical expertise to health care providers and patients through utilization of your clinical nursing skills and education, helping them to improve patient outcomes, education and disease state awareness. The Nurse Educator will provide education on disease states & Kedrion product clinical profiles including, but not limited to, clinical benefits, safety, and administration requirements in the specific therapeutic area disease-state. 

Responsibilities:

Focusing on disease state education and training, you will have the opportunity to: 

Provide education and training to healthcare providers on specific disease states and/or product use Promote the optimal application and use of therapy to drive patient satisfaction leading to more effective patient outcomes and positive educational experiences. Build authentic relationships within the hemophilia community, which includes the major treatment centers, patients, and caregivers, to educate on our product, support events or programming. Directly engage patients where appropriate for educational and access purposesLeverage market insights, knowledge, and resources to gain new access to key opinion leaders and nurture KOL relationshipsBuild rapport and work with stakeholders to assess community needs and provide branded and unbranded education.Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of all promoted and competitive products along with technical and marketplace knowledge of hemophilia/rare bleeding disorders and our product. Develop a monthly schedule to ensure efficient and comprehensive coverage of nationwide territory. Responsible for monitoring and reporting territory education goals, objectives, and metrics.Collaborate with commercial counterparts to help gain access to customers, assess market trends, business strategy and uncover new opportunities for appropriate patient acquisition and optimizationCollaborate with marketing on the development of branded and unbranded materials, activities, and presentations.Complete administrative duties as requiredParticipate in supplemental training as required and to keep up with trends and scientific progress in the therapeutic area disease-state  

Experience/Requirements:

Along with your energy and versatility, you must possess:

ASN/BSN degree required, Active Nursing license3+ years of the specific disease-state experience3+ years Clinical Nurse Educator experience in the pharmaceutical industry highly preferred or similar clinical work experience within the disease-state will be consideredLeadership experience (manager, educator, preceptor) can be helpful but is not requiredExcellent Communication and Scientific affiliation; possess strong presentation, organization, and communication skillsRequires nationwide travel and possible off-hours, weekends, and holidays to support business needs.  Candidate to live near major airport. Experienced relationship building in both the institutional (major treatment centers) and community environments is desirableProven ability to understand, internalize, and routinely present complex scientific information with ease based on the audienceEase to discuss complex medical issues competently and with confidenceComfortable teaching small or large groupsCustomer focused, professional, and strong brand representativeMust be comfortable with basic software programs, i.e. ideally Microsoft PowerPoint, Basic-Intermediate Excel, CRM system(s)Duties may require compliance with client requirements that all those performing services on-site be fully vaccinatedHave to have a passion for making a difference in the lives of the patients, healthcare providers and other segments that we serve
