**Job Summary**
Michigan Medicine Department of Neurology is seeking a Clinical Instructor for an advance learner position.
Your work plan will focus on the clinical and academic experiences necessary to gain proficiency in the subspecialty of epilepsy and will consist of:
1 epilepsy clinic session per week when on LTM service;
2 epilepsy and 2 general neurology clinic sessions per week when not on LTM service
(a clinic session is defined as 4 hours);
4 months of LTM service between July 1, 2025 and June 30, 2026
The rest of the time will include clinical research under neurology faculty mentorship.
As an advanced trainee, you are expected to provide instruction and guidance to neurology residents and medical students during general neurology clinics and to Epilepsy and CNP fellows during epilepsy rotations. You are expected to take overnight call for the inpatient epilepsy service over the course of your year of training that will be scheduled mostly (but not exclusively) during LTM months. The inpatient epilepsy service (LTM) is the only service during which you will be staffed by an attending neurologist to provide appropriate supervision.
Your clinical activities will be directed by Dr. Nusha Mihaylova, with clinical and research mentorship provided by various divisional faculty members.
**Required Qualifications***
The selected candidates are required to be eligible or hold Michigan State medical licenses and should have MD or equivalent degree.

**Background Screening**
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third-party administrator to conduct background screenings.
