Position Responsibilities:

Provide support for the clinical information systems in the hospital network  Serves as a resource person for the daily operational issues of the hospital’s clinical systems         Acts as the key point of contact between clinical leaders (including physicians) and Information Technology clinical initiatives in developmental, implementation and production environments.                   Provides leadership, facilitates and enables the planning, development, maintenance and evaluation of clinical information systems and workflow with representatives of the organization    Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates user needs and clinical systems.   Acts as the internal expert on clinical systems functionality and capabilities, and keeps abreast of changes to the base system.    Documents functional and technical requirements, mapping process flows, documenting test plans, conducting system testing, documenting user manuals and administering training.      Work with the clinical customers to understand their requirements, map process models, design technical solutions to satisfy requirements, and complete formal system testing.     Work with vendors to understand product features and align the MSMC implementation strategy with the vendor's product roadmap. Using this information, educate the MSMC end users on available functionality.        Monitor system performance and report anomalies, errors, inaccuracies or inefficiencies. Collaborate closely with - and communicate between - IT leadership and the clinical community to provide leadership for clinical systems projects and initiatives.         Assist in the development of policies and procedures for the usage of clinical information systems. Facilitates workflow adoption on new processes Testing - Participates in system testing events by executing scripts Accurately documents and reports any noted errors or deficiencies Upgrades/Optimizations - Provides support to department/end users during system upgrade and optimization activitiesProjects and New System Implementations - Executes assigned tasks under the supervision of senior team members/management Issue Resolution - Utilizes system knowledge and available resources to address routine issues Downtime Processes - Actively participates in testing of downtime processes Activities may include executing test scripts, working with end users or other tasks to support downtime activities Provides support to formal training classes when necessary in the form of proctoring, materials preparation or other tasks as necessary Attitude - Maintains a positive attitude, welcomes and incorporates feedback, and shows appreciation for colleagues, patients, partners and customers in a consistent manner Teamwork - Demonstrates great teamwork, shares information with others, responsive with all communications/deliverables, collaborates with the team to resolve open issues, and anticipates the needs of colleagues in a consistent manner

Qulifications:

 3-5 years prior experience working in a clinical information systems environment and familiarity with process/performance improvement methodologies;  implementing change; risk assessments; and gap analysis, must also have a solid understanding of appropriate clinical workflows, commercially available technology, relational database concepts, and package system implementations 5+ years experience as an RN or in clinical area of expertise 3+ years Epic software implementation experience Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience Epic Ambulatory, Epic Clarity or ClinicDoc certified  SQL reporting experience preferred Florida resident required
