Job Title: Clinical Documentation Specialist
Job Description
We are looking for a Clinical Documentation Specialist who will provide primary support for Clinical Applications Development within our product portfolio, primarily focusing on Next Generation Sequencing (NGS). The role involves developing customer and internal technical training material, supporting and developing IVD products globally, and working closely with our Pharma partners and internal core team to enhance customer value and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
+ Provide on-site training until customers are certified and proficient in using Oncomine Target Test and other IVD assays in their labs.
+ Develop service and support plans for new products as a member of the core product development team.
+ Troubleshoot NGS systems and assays to support customers.
+ Provide technical and applications assistance in response to customer inquiries, specifically PGM Dx.
+ Build internal and external training materials.
+ Collaborate with the Program Management and Project Core teams to set up the best support strategy for each customer site.
+ Build positive relationships with customers.
+ Maintain consistent and structured communication with counterparts and articulate summarized communication to the manager on a periodic basis.
+ Align with other teams in the company on a regular basis.
+ Travel to the life lab in Sacramento as needed (estimated 10-20%).
Essential Skills
+ BA/BS degree in Life Sciences with at least one year of experience or an MS degree; PhD preferred.
+ Experience in NGS sequencing, Capillary Electrophoresis, qPCR, and RT-PCR (experience with PGM or PGM Dx desirable).
+ Understanding of healthcare industry standards, guidelines, and environments.
+ Excellent communication and influencing skills.
+ Strong instructing skills and the ability to create training materials.
+ Ability to understand and articulate complex scientific literature and use extensive complex clinical data.
+ A problem solver with the ability to overcome technical hurdles.
+ A technically savvy individual who can assess customer clinical needs and implement training and experimental approaches to ensure customer success.
+ Clinical experience or knowledge
+ Previous experience as an application specialist is desirable (NGS experience desirable).
+ Medical knowledge or laboratory experience, and/or managed care experience.
+ Strong drive for success.
Work Environment
The work environment involves limited lab work, potentially some pipetting and working with instruments. The role includes monitoring and managing projects, and may require travel to the life lab in Sacramento (estimated 10-20%). The position requires collaboration with various teams within the company and maintaining structured communication with management.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.75/hr.
