We want your knowledge and expertise! **Job Summary and Qualifications** As a Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) Liaison, work from home, you will be responsible for the interface between facility-based Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialists and the coding teams. You will work with all facilities to improve the accuracy, integrity, and quality of patient data, ensure minimal variation in coding practices, and improve the quality of physician documentation within the body of the medical record to support code assignments. You will also plan, assign, and coordinate the communication and validation of correct coding; actively monitor facility CDI requests, and respond to questions submitted. **What you will do in this role:** + Proactively managesfacility CDI and HSC MS-DRGdiscrepancy request reviews (including corresponding communications, escalation paths, and tracking/trending/comparison of data) + Reporting significant coding trends identifiedthrough the CDI process + Maintainup-to-date knowledge of regulatorychangesimpacting coding requirements + Coordinate trainingand education for coders and facility-based CDIstaffwhen trendsareidentified + Manage expectations andensuresservices are delivered accordinglyfrom the data entry system **What qualifications you will need:** + Minimum3 yearsof healthcare management/leadership experience **required** + Minimum 5 yearsof recent inpatient hospital coding experience is **required** + RHIA, RHIT,and/or CCS certification + Undergraduate degree preferred.
