**Responsibilities**
CHI St. Alexius is looking for a Full Time Clinical Coordinator to join the Respiratory Team!
The Clinical Coordinator is responsible to provide and coordinate high quality respiratory therapy upon the order of a licensed physician to promote the health and recovery of patients served by the St. Alexius Medical Center.
**What You'll Do:**
Is a team player; works as a team with respiratory therapists, physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals to manage patient care and delivery of quality patient care.
Identifies problems, determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives and to make recommendations.
Update respiratory therapy job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Employ evidence-based practice. Integrate best research with clinical expertise and patient values for optimum care, and participate in learning and research activities to the extent feasible.
Provides and practices effective leadership to all Respiratory Therapy departments by:
-Encouraging education
-Encouraging team building and team work
-Works with staff to provide opportunities for growth and achievement of department and individual staff goals
-Communicates information to assure staff attendance at meetings
-Runs effective meetings
-Develops, implements, and communicates goals (i.e. team goals, education goals, Process improvement goals, etc.)
-Demonstrates leadership through community/professional involvement, and continuing education
May be asked to assist the Director of Respiratory Therapy with planning and projecting department/sub-department budget/revenue
Maintains awareness of advances in medicine, equipment and data technology, government regulations and health insurance changes
Maintains basic respiratory therapy skills, including critical care skills by working in the department a minimum of 1-2 days per week including weekends.
Assists in Regional Asthma Clinic
Performs job performance appraisals as assigned in conjunction with the Director of Respiratory
Therapy
Attends Nursing Skills Lab for proper education of Respiratory Therapy information pertaining to the needs of Nursing or delegates a qualified RT to do so.
Communicates key components of current patient status for an efficient and effective transition of care from each respiratory therapy shift change
Educate patients and their families about their conditions and teach appropriate disease management techniques and the use of medications and respiratory therapy equipment.
**Qualifications**
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
**Education:** Graduate of an accredited/AMA certified School of Respiratory Therapy with a Bachelors of Science in Respiratory Therapy.
**Licensure:** Licensed with the North Dakota Board of Respiratory Care
**Pay Range**
$31.11 - $42.78 /hour
