Clinical Coordinator Full Time
The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for ensuring efficient patient flow through a combination of appropriate clinical staff scheduling and working directly with providers - providing patient care within the scope of certification and training. Duties are performed in an office. Attendance is an essential part of the role.
Coordinates staffing to ensure adequate coverage in the clinical areaMonitors clinical staff performance and assist Practice Manager with annual Development Discussions and 90-day evaluations. Effectively interacts with referral sources and other healthcare providers in a customer-focused manner.Assists in the efficient flow of patients from the waiting room through their provider visitEffectively captures data needed to facilitate the provider’s ability to efficiently evaluate patients including but not limited to vital signs and current medicationsHandles patient call backs and prescriptions refills within the scope of the certification for this positionPrepares in advance for the provider’s clinic to run smoothly by checking the schedule and the patient record to make sure all documents are available for provider viewingAble to perform phlebotomy and administer medications and injections as directed by the provider if within the scope of trainingPerforms EKG’s, PFT’s, spirometry, nebulizer treatments and ear irrigations, and other procedures appropriate to level of training and within the scope of the certification of this position and as required by the practice.Performs in-office lab testing such as glucose testing, strep screens, pregnancy tests, urinalysis, and HgbA1c as directed by the provider appropriate to level of training and within the scope of the certification of this position and as required by the practice.Perform sterilization on instruments used for minor procedures/surgeries as directed by the provider appropriate to level of training and within the scope of the certification of this position and as required by the practice.Maintains patient confidentiality and corporate compliance guidelines and integrityMinium Education, Experience:
High School/GEDGraduate of an accredited Medical Assisting Program; School of Nursing and/or Health Related field5 years’ experience in direct patient interaction in a physician office settingProfessional License or CertificationLife Support Training or Certification (ACLS, BLS, PALS, etc.)MA Certification from AAMA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, or AAMPBLS from the American Heart Association within 90 days of hireIf you would like to be part of a growing family focused on supporting clinical excellence, teamwork and innovation, we urge you to apply now!
