Job Summary
The primary responsibility of the position is to review and negotiate negotiating a high volume of clinical study agreements and related agreements/documents and provide assistance to coworkers in the preparation of proposals, negotiation of agreements, and daily project administration tasks. This position is designated as a flexwork position and is subject to Flexwork Agreement terms. Maintains a broad knowledge of clinical contract and provides guidance and training to research support staff and Principal Investigators. Work includes extensive and demonstrable knowledge of appropriate regulations governing clinical grant and contract administration. Additionally, this position involves working with global partners, faculty, staff, and General Counsel during the contracting process.

Minimum Qualifications
Education and/or training:
+ A Master’s degree in related field(s) of finance, research compliance, or Grant Management. Or a bachelor’s degree and related work experience equivalent to a master’s degree in the preceding field of study.
Specific knowledge, skills, and abilities:
+ Considerable knowledge of contracting principles, compliance regulations, risk management practices, and their application to clinical research and clinical research lifecycle.
+ Considerable knowledge of Clinical Trial Agreements to clearly and concisely present information.
+ Considerable knowledge of MS- Office products such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
+ Excellent computer and internet skills.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation skills
+ Excellent organizational and administrative skills, including superior attention to detail.
+ Demonstrated ability to successfully maintain positive interpersonal relationships and successfully provide quality customer service, guidance and training to others on policy & procedures.
+ Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects in a deadline driven environment.
+ Demonstrated ability to read and understand contract terms, redline agreements, and make decisions with a practical, business-minded approach to contract negotiation.
+ Demonstrated ability to review and understand technical, medical, and legal documents related to Clinical Trial Agreements.
+ Demonstrated ability to develop and assist others with planning, strategizing, mentoring, monitoring, scheduling, diplomacy, critiquing, analysis, and problem-solving.
+ Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
Level and type of experience:
+ Considerable related experience is required in finance and sponsored program accounting, policies, and procedures.
+ Considerable experience with clinical study agreements and contract administration.
+ Considerable experience in contract negotiation and administration, preferable within higher education.
