Job Description
Join our Central Core Lab team as a Clinical Laboratory Technician, where you'll perform analyses on blood, tissue, and body fluids to assist health care providers in diagnosing, prognosing, and treating patients. Testing takes place in specialized laboratories, using both manual and automated techniques with sophisticated instrumentation. As a vital part of the team, you'll contribute to instrument operation and maintenance, troubleshoot assays, evaluate test accuracy, assist in result interpretation, and support operational activities to optimize testing processes.
ResponsibilitiesOperate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.Troubleshoot assays and instrument issues.Evaluate tests for accuracy and assist in interpreting results.Retrieve information and report results using multiple computer systems.Adhere to safety protocols while handling infectious specimens, chemicals, and other hazards.Run chemistry analyzers, perform maintenance, quality control, calibration, and minor troubleshooting.Essential SkillsExperience in laboratory and medical laboratory testing.Proficiency in instrumentation operation and troubleshooting.Strong background in chemistry and biology.Capability to produce accurate results under time constraints.Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with others.QualificationsBachelor's degree in chemistry or a human biological science.Healthcare background is beneficial.Master's degree accepted, but not PhD or engineering.OPT accepted.Must not have been out of lab work for more than 1 year.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
