Your Impact
As a Clinical Assistant your primary responsibilities include:
Clinical Support (Majority of Role):
Act as an assistant to the clinicians, providing support in patient preparation, device fittings, and technical fabrication in our state of the art fab!Assist with rooming patients, scribing for clinicians, and managing inventory for our Off-the-Shelf devices to ensure smooth clinical operations.You will be involved with direct patient care focused on supporting Orthotic fittings and adjustments under clinician supervision.
Patient Management:
Support clinicians in managing patient follow-ups, ensuring accurate and complete documentation in the electronic health record system.Assist with coordinating care for prosthetic patients, monitoring case progress, and providing follow-up support as needed. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED requiredEmployee must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver’s license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures.Preferred Experience:
Allied Health Professionals: Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), Occupantional Therapy Assistant (OTA), Athletic Trainer (ATC), etc.If the Clinical Assistant holds a recognized license or certification in a related allied health profession (e.g., Physical Therapist/PTA, Occupational Therapist/OTA, Athletic Trainer, etc.), they may be supervised under indirect supervision.Orthotic, Durable Medical Equipment (DME), or Soft Goods FitterMedical Assistant Additional Success FactorsKnowledge and Skill:
Willingness to verify all clinical activities with certified clinical personnel.Ability to follow written and verbal directions.Hand skills necessary to use laboratory tools safely and effectively.Knowledge of biomechanical principles.Good interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills for reporting information to patient and staff.Effective organizational skills and ability to prioritize and plan for the purpose of meeting deadlines.Ability to work effectively as a team member.Job Complexity:
